HeyHQ Privacy Policy

HeyHQ and its affiliates (‘HeyHQ‘ or ‘SOS Software‘ or ‘we’, ‘us’ or ‘our’) know that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy (the ‘Privacy Policy’). By visiting our Maxxess website (currently at https://heyhq.maxxess-systems.com/ ), or InSite’s services, products, or applications (collectively, the “Service” or ‘Services’), or by providing HeyHQ with any personal information, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Privacy Policy including the collection, use, processing, retention, and disclosures of personal information (together ‘handling’) described here.

Limitation of Service

You acknowledge and agree that HeyHQ provides an approximate location of the requested handset and does not provide guaranteed results. In order for HeyHQ to work, the wireless device on which the service is located must be turned on, charged and located within your coverage area, among other factors. Accuracy of the location information obtained via HeyHQ is subject to network capabilities, environmental conditions such as structures, buildings, weather, geography, landscape, and topography, available data, atmospheric conditions and other factors associated with use of wireless networks, satellites and satellite data. By entering into this agreement, you acknowledge the results you may obtain from HeyHQ, including but not limited to directions, maps, and requested locations or messaging, may not be accurate, timely, or reliable.

Personal information You Provide

We collect reasonable information necessary to provide the Service. We collect personal information you provide while registering for or interacting with our Service or otherwise provide to us in any other way. The types of personal information collected may include your name, user-name, phone number, address, electronic addresses including email, instant messaging, and photos. It may also include personal health information such as medical and health information, physician and insurance information, and locations, information about emergencies and incidents and contact details of your friends, family, and responders.

Information we collect when you interact with HeyHQ

We collect personal information of the actions taken while using or interacting with the Services such as Monitor Me, Survey, Check-in, See it Say it and Request Support information related to emergencies and incidents and communications that occur during and after such events. When you use the Service, we automatically collect information from your browser or mobile platform including your browser type, location, IP address, as well as the pages you visit.

Cookies

We may use “cookies” (small pieces of data we store on your computer, mobile phone, or other device) to make HeyHQ easier to use, and to protect both you and HeyHQ. For example, we may use cookies to store your login ID to make it easier for you to login whenever you want to use the Services. We also use them to confirm that you are logged into the Services, and to know when you are interacting with them. You can remove or block browser cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases that may impact your ability to use HeyHQ.

Use and Sharing information on HeyHQ

We will not rent nor sell nor otherwise disclose your Personal information to anyone except as set out herein. HeyHQ may handle your Personal information only as described below. Use of the Service: Our Service is primarily designed to help you in the event of an emergency or incident including assisting others in assessing the event, responding, managing and coordinating responses, and reporting during and following emergencies and incidents. Information you provide to the Services will be used, made available to others, and otherwise handled for these purposes.

Managing the service

We use personal information to provide and manage our Services. This may include the following activities: measure and analyze use of the Services; improve the Services; provide you with support; understand and meet your needs and preferences; develop new and enhance existing Services; send you confirmations and respond to your questions and concerns; send you requested Service information and Service updates; respond to Service requests; administer your account; send you newsletters, and improve our website and marketing efforts.

Third party service providers

We employ other persons to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your personal information with them to provide the Services. For example, we may use third parties to help host our website, send out email updates about HeyHQ, or process payments. We may also share personal information with other potential responders in the case of, or to help prepare for possible, emergencies including organizations to which you are or have been affiliated who agree to work with us in connection with the Services. Unless we provide you with information to the contrary, our service providers do not have any right to use personal information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. When this occurs, we implement contractual and technical protections to limit their use of that information to helping us provide the Services and to protect your personal information.

Location of data

To be able to provide the Services, your personal information may be handled by or on our behalf both inside Canada and the United States by third party service providers or by our affiliates. As a result, the courts, governments, and law enforcement agencies of other countries can obtain disclosure of personal information under that country’s laws.

Joint services

We may provide services jointly with other companies. If you use these services, we may share personal information to facilitate that service. However, we will identify the partner and present the joint service provider’s privacy policy to you before you use that service.

Compliance with laws

We may release personal information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with laws including to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other requests (including criminal and civil matters), or enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HeyHQ, our employees, our users, or others. We may also use a variety of technological systems to detect and address anomalous activity and screen content to prevent abuse such as spam. These efforts may on occasion result in a temporary or permanent suspension or termination of some functions for some users. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, we may retain personal information to comply with applicable law or as necessary in connection with legal proceedings.

Non-Personal information

For clarity, we may share non-personal information such as aggregated non-identifying information to third parties. Our Service may automatically collect usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site and users who use our Service. We use this information in aggregate form and not in a manner that would identify you personally.

Your HeyHQ Account Personal information is also protected by a password for your privacy and security. However, HeyHQ cannot guarantee the security of user account or other personal information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.

We may change this Privacy Policy by posting changes on our website or by taking other steps intended to bring the changes to your attention such as providing you with an email or other message about the changes.
